I downloaded this plugin from the OL resources site. I was using it in debug with no issues and suddenly I’m getting the below error. Workflow is running on a PC with admin user. Configure Services in Workflow Tools tab is set to “Local System Account”. When the folders are zipped using Windows the file size is 2.152 GB.
Plugin: Zip job file or folder content
Error:
[0048] Step: Saving archive.
[0048] Error while executing plugin: Access violation at address 168A2ADB in module 'Zip.dll'. Write of address 0000000C
[0048] Zip job file or folder content: W1603 : Plugin failed - 09:45:33 (elapsed time: 00:05:28:377)
I actually forgot about this. Only responding now because I was on leave.
I went back to the Workflow process that was using this plugin. I actually have it ignored/disabled due to the error and used the External Program plugin last year as a fix. I did a quick debug and it worked fine. I then copied the plugin to a new process (with last years settings) and ran it live. No errors again.
I’m now running the entire original process using this plugin while disabling the External Program plugin to see if the error happens again. The process takes about an hour. I will reply here again once done.
I did the full live test as I did before my original post here and it ran with no errors. So until it happens again I have not idea what could have caused the error. Nothing on my system has changed either.
2025.1 doesnt seem to like me. I’m getting this error again and not sure why. The plugin worked fine for this 6-7 year old process in Connect 2024.1 & 2024.2 on the same PC.
[0042] Step: Saving archive.
[0042] Error while executing plugin: Access violation at address 1D992ADB in module 'Zip.dll'. Write of address 0000000C
[0042] Zip job file or folder content: W1603 : Plugin failed - 13:13:43 (elapsed time: 00:09:23.658)
Any ideas?
EDIT: The plugin works if I run it in debug on a single PDF file but not the 5000 PDF’s @ 6.91GB. (a 3.28 GB test also fails but a test of 1478 files @ 2.04GB zips fine.) Is there an size limit to this plugin?
The unzip plugin is 32bit I believe unless it was updated.
If you are thinking of unzipping large files then you will need the help of some other 3rd party software like 7zip to do the heavy lifting for you. I did stumble on this similar issue where I was trying to unzip a folder that was over 3.28GB.
Thanks for the reply. This is the zip plugin called “Zip job file or folder content”. But I assume it would have the same limitations. I need OL to clarify since the file sizes of 5000 individual PDF’s was the same the last few months on Connect 2024.1 and 2024.2.
