Workflow error W1040

The article in the Knowledge Base for this error (invalid socket error) suggests as a resolution:

“Make sure the connection parameters are valid.”

What connection parameters? From what to what, and where are they set?

If you could specify on which task the error occurs, it would be immensely helpful…

I get the error when I try to start the Messenger Service from the Service Console.

While your PPMessenger is stopped, do you still have PPAlambic instances running under the Details tab of Windows Task Manager?

If so, kill them and try starting your PPMessenger.
