I have run into an issue where there are visible white spaces between underline characters on the part of my template with donation amounts). I even printed out the document and the white spaces are visible on paper. The underline characters are part of variables from a customer file, but I am unable to share the customer file because of privacy rules. Has anyone ever run into an issue like this before?
Supposedly my template is too big to upload, so I understand if you are unable to help me.
I’ve tried to reproduce this issue using a fresh template and applied the underline style to some static and dynamic content, but I couldn’t replicate it. I also experimented with adjusting letter-spacing, but that didn’t reveal the issue either. Could this be tied to a specific font?
Attached are a test project and a data file that show the issue.

I do use a .otf font file in the template, so I guess it is possible that the font could be causing the issue.
The only way around this is to apply negative letter spacing (-0.5px), as illustrated in the image below. For this I’ve selected the expression (including the curly braces) and selected Text… from the contextual menu. This shows the Text Formatting dialog, subsequent change the value for Letter Spacing.
