When sorting data by a certain field (ie a category), how does PSM decide the order?

In excel for instance when sorting by the same field, it reorganizes the data in based off it’s original sequence #.

PSM seems to choose randomly.

For example: If Mary B is #19 in the original order of my excel file and i sort by x category, she becomes #1. However, when i sort by the same category x in PSM, she instead is # 6.

Im trying to figure out what field it is using to sort, because it seems random.

Hello AMIuser,

Is this in regards to PrintShop Mail Design, or PrintShop Mail Connect? Just making sure, as the sort methods are completely different between those two products.

Also i thought i should clarify that the field im sorting by is an alphanumeric value and not a number.

Sorting in PSM Design should be great for alphanumerical… However, it’s hard to troubleshoot this issue without actually seeing the file. And for this purpose, you will need to open a technical support call, as sending private data over a public forum is highly discouraged.
