Does PReS Connect support PDF 1.7?

As Input data, all versions of PDF are supported.
As Output format, Connect Generates PDF 1.5.

is this valid today?
All Version of PDF can be used as Input? I did not find a hint to that Information which PDF Version can be used or better which not.
I know, that it has to be not secured with a Password and fonts have to be included.

There are no restrictions on PDF versions other than they must not be password-protected.
As for fonts, they don’t necessarily have to be included, but if they aren’t, then the PDF will use default system fonts which may completely screw up the display (that’s not a limitation of the DataMapper, but rather a behavior that’s implemented in PDF files by design).

i found this Information: “Protected PDF and PDF of versions above 1.7 are not supported by Connect Workflow.” (PDF emulation) .
And on Wikipedia i found a overview of the Versions for PDF: History of PDF - Wikipedia.
Here you see 6 different “level” of PDF 1.7.
Which is meant in the Documentation as “Version 1.7”?
So on your reply now, also the newest like PDF 2.0 (ISO 32000-2:2020) is ok?

Oops… I wasn’t even aware that PDF 2.0 was out!
So let’s abide with what the online documentation says: anything above 1.7 is no supportedt. And as far as 1.7 is concerned, I believe that all versions are supported.
