Im on wits end, I updated/upgraded Pres Connect/Workflow on our development box to the latest version (2022.2.1). Which updated/installed fine (I think).
But when I open Workflow and try to open the Preference window via the big W icon and hitting preference button.
And its not appearing. I keep waiting and nothing is popping out. And keep trying again, try to “fix the installation” still the same.
I thought about that , but there is only one monitor. Plus if its opened on another screen I shouldnt be able to interact with the main workflow program but I can and able to do normal stuff.
It didnt work (hold ctrl +shift until it opens) I click the W icon top left, main dialog opens then clicks the Preference button , main dialog closes. And nothing.
Is there another way to trigger the Workflow preference window somehow?

You can try accessing it via keyboard; which is done by pressing Alt+F+Y+6(one after the other). Do you usually have Connect Designer installed on that machine? The reason I ask is because I have seen this happen before when the Workflow is installed prior to installing the Designer. This results in certain components not being registered properly. I thought this might no longer be an issue, but I’m chasing any lead at this point.
Actually tried that just now. The server we are running workflow on , doesnt need designer. Then I saw an error about messenger service not being installed then I wondered whether we need designer installed as well.
