Snippets save issue

Has anyone noticed that if you make a change to a snippet, click save (CTRL+S) and then click the design tab, when you return to source, the changes are not saved and it has returned to how it was?

I’ve noticed that in order to get changes to a snippet to be persistent, one must click the design tab before saving and that has the action of committing the changes.

I’m working in 2020.2.1.

Let me know if anyone else has experienced this.

I tested and reproduced this issue here.

This looks to be an issue in the designer and I’ll raise it with our development team to get it corrected. In the meantime, you can work around this by switching to design mode then saving your changes in there, though I appreciate that if you are making changes to a snippet you may be habitually saving after changes and trigger this issue unintentionally

Does anyone know if this has been resolved yet?

I’m using 2021.1.0.6595 and this issue has been giving me fits for the past week.

Hi,
Unfortunately this issue has not been fixed within the software. The current workaround is to switch to Design View before saving changes in a snippet.
