Might be a silly question, but is it possible to run a Datamapper model on a database without utilising Designer or Workflow?
Unless I don’t properly understand your qestion, you’ll always need at least Designer to create the Datamapper.
Now as to use Workflow or Automate, not really because you can always call the REST API
