Royal Mail 4-State Barcode Settings

Hello,

I am currently setting up a template with the Royal Mail 4-state L Barcode and wondered if anybody had the barcode settings confirmed by Royal Mail, as after numerous back n forth they keep saying the barcode displayed is not passable and I cannot appear to go any lower or higher on the settings to meet there requirements.

Appreciate anybody’s feedback on this.

Kind regards

Hello @k.tumbridge,

Welcome to our Online Community!

Can you please check whether the displayed barcode is passable when you apply the barcode value as mentioned in this forum post instead?

Hi Marten,

Apologies for the delay in response and thanks for sharing this forum post.

I am not having difficulties with the barcode appearing on my template, its more of a case of applying the right barcode settings so the bars adhere to the size requirements listed by Royal Mail as I am finding it rather difficult with it being translated in pixels, rather than mm/cms.

Was just curious if anybody had the correct settings to hand for the below and also if there was a specific font that needed to be used as the barcode appears to default to “Arial” in Connect but Royal Mail have stated “we recommend printing the barcode in the 4 state jack 1 barcode at a variety of font sizes between 19.5 and 22.5 point”.

Bar Height - ?
Extended Bar Height - ?
Bar Width - ?
Spacing - ?

Thanks
Kieran
