I am used the work with PlanetPress 7, though we switched to PlanetPress Connect and I got a question about how to configure some stuff.
In PlanetPress Designer (7) I could easily make a conditional statement and add to a page so we could use multi pages within one design (one page would be printed on tray 2 the other page on tray 3) this so inside one print job we could print from multi trays.
However I find it very difficult to work this out in the new designer…
Could anyone point me in the right direction how to set this up?
In Connect Designer you first need to create Media entries via the Resources pane. Media entries can have a PDF background to mimic preprinted stationery.
Subsequently assign the Media entries to sheet positions in the Sheet Configuration dialog for print sections (right mouse click the print section entry in the Resource pane). The positions are: first sheet, last sheet, middle sheets and single sheet. In case of a multi page section you would have at least a first and last page and optionally one or more middle sheets. These rules are applied dynamically based on the number of pages in the section (which may vary between records).
The Sheet Configuration also contains a script icon allowing you to create a script to dynamically change media based on data values. Currently requires you to write a script, a script wizard is in the works and will become available in a future version.
In the Print wizard (or in Output Creation presets), one can map the Media entries to trays when selecting a PS printer model.
