PReS Connect Messenger unable to start

Hi all,

Hope all is well.

I am using Designer (2022.2.3.13959) on my laptop. Our organisation has recently pushed out a Windows 11 Features update. After restarting, the PReS Connect Messenger service no longer automatically starts. Trying a manual start fails with a basic error message. I have reinstalled and get the same issue.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

In reply to your forum post I would like to ask you the following questions:

  1. Which Windows 11 update has your organisation pushed out recently?
  2. Are you also not able to launch the Designer application when you double click on the shortcut icon of this application?
  3. Which error is shown when you try to start the PReS Connect Messenger service?

Designer does launch from Desktop shortcut, but takes a lot longer than normal to open.

Iā€™m running on Version: 10.0.26100 Build 26100

When trying to start the PReS Connect Messenger service the error displayed is:
Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
