PP Suite 7 + Folder Capture Help

Hello,

We are using PP Suite 7, and I am creating a new process with a Folder Capture as the desired initial input. When I debug this process, and manually select a data file (.CSV this case), everything works perfectly.

My issue is that when I drop a data file into the folder location I’ve specified in the Folder Capture Properties, nothing happens. (I’ve used a folder located on the desktop just for now. End result I would like to have this map to a network share somewhere that all of our operators could access.)

I also changed the Masks in the properties to *.csv

Not sure what I am missing here, but any advice or guidance from this community would be greatly appreciated. I am pretty new to using PlanetPress.

Welcome to our forum.

Let’s start with your first attempt on the Desktop. I can think of three scenarios where it wouldn’t work:

  1. Your Workflow Services aren’t started :wink:
  2. The file is 0kb and you haven’t tick the Include empty files, but I would be surprised it is that one.
  3. The file still has a hold on it from another software and Windows won’t let you touch it until the other software has released its handle. My favorite
  4. You anti-virus is blocking that file.

I actually figured this out shortly after making my original post.
I’m embarrassed to say it was user error: I had not sent my configuration to the local server.
Once that was done, everything began working as expected.
