Order of operations in Output creation

Hi All,

I would like to ask, it sorry if this has been answered in a previous forum thread.

But the question is, When I create an output creation to batch, impose. Why is the imposition the first then batch. What order of operation does connect use? Also, would it be of benefit to have a re-order of operations?

I think the order is as per the image above, but would be nice to be able to change this Production options order.

Our use case is we run a whole data file, batch the PDF then impose the PDF. We can add all of this in the output creation but the order is always PDF -> Impose -> Batch.

You could batch your PDF by making call through the Retrieve Item plugin and then let the imposition being done by the Create Output plugin.

Hi @jchamel,

I did think of that and tried it but its deviating the process slightly instead of an all-in-one take.

I really thing it would be nice have the production options as resortable/moveable as a feature. At the moment there is no flexibility for this.
