One output from 2 templates

Hi everyone,

In my workflow process I have an all in one which outputs a PDF. After that, later in the process, I have a check which if it’s true will go on a branch that needs to create another PDF. The final output needs to be a single PDF with the results of both All in one tasks. Is there a way to do this?
The second PDF is created only in certain cases, and I thought of including it already in all the templates that might get it at a certain point so I don’t need to create separate PDFs in the workflow, but this would take a lot of time (as there are around 35 templates which might get it) and also take up memory unnecessarily.
I would appreciate any suggestion!

Kind regards,
Cristian

Hi @Cristian,

Have you thought about using the Merge PDF Files Workflow plugin?

See ‘Merge PDF Files - PlanetPress Workflow 2022.1 User Guide (link)’

Hi Marten,

Thank you for your suggestion! While trying out this option I actually bumped into a better one: the send to folder task gives the option to concatenate outputs if they have the same name, instead of replacing the already existing file. This actually does exactly what I needed it to do, I just need to save both PDFs in the same folder with the same name and check this option.
Thank you again for your help!

Kind regards,
Cristian
