In terms of output speed, it’s important to first note the following: advertised speeds for Connect are based only on output speeds, not throughput speed (aka, data mapping and content creation are not part of the Page Per Minute (PPM) that is advertised).
With that explained, your scenario is probably not the best for overall performance. There is a certain overhead in producing contents and output in Connect (sending the data to the server, receiving a response, requesting content creation, requesting output, etc). This overhead, while not huge, is present and will seem more present on single-record output than, say, 10000 records. So, 10000 records in a single batch will process faster than 10000 individual records processed individually. By how much I’m not sure - that kind of metrics is not available - but it is an important consideration.
