Having difficulties with SNMP on a couple of Zebra Printers.
Zebra tech support claims that SNMP is enabled, but the condition returns no printer MIB found.
They also claim that the Community is public.
What version of SNMP is the plugin expecting?
Is there any other detail that may help them to configure SNMP on the printer so PlanetPress Connect 2021.2.1.3151 can see the printer MIB?
According to Zebra tech support both the ZD421 and ZD621 have a MIB and is retained after a reboot. Personally, I don’t know how to confirm if what the Zebra tech rep is saying is correct.
They sent these images showing that it was enabled, but I don’t see it as definitive evidence. Then again, I’m not very familiar with how to enable SNMP on Zebra printers.
I would suggest to first try to browse the printer MIB with a specialized tool. I don’t have any specific one to suggest but Google does (e.g. 6 Best MIB Browsers - DNSstuff). Perhaps Zebra can even suggest such a tool to validate that SNMP is indeed enabled and working.
If it turns out to be working as expected, we can start investigating why it doesn’t work from Connect. Otherwise, it will be up to Zebra Support to handle the issue.
