I’m trying to update to the latest Planet Press.
Unfortunately we don’t have the root password for MariaDB as the person who set it up no longer works at our company.
Is there any way around this apart from doing a fresh install? Which I was hoping to avoid.

A quick Google search gave some answers as you should be able to log in to the database server and change the password. You check out this thread: How to reset password in MariaDB on Windows? - Stack Overflow. Do note that you need to find out what the path is to the executable but that should not be too much work.

Hi Ben,
in one of the first steps of the OL Connect installer you can tick a checkbox to remove all pre-existing user data. In this case, MariaDB will be removed and then reinstalled with Connect. But beware, other files will also be removed.
