I have a control script that dynamically sets a PDF file as a background based upon the data received in the input XML file.
The cloning works as intended if I compile and send to a printer or output to PDF, however, I’m not seeing the cloned sections in the Preview tab in Connect Designer.
Is it possible to see cloned sections in the Designer preview tab?
I have reproduced the behavior and the cloned section do not show on the preview tab.
I will confirm with my R&D that it is the intended behavior. My guess is that it is since the preview tab execute the “current” section. Since you cloned section do not exist yet, it can’t display them.

I’m currently revisiting some of the older blog posts on this topic to inform readers that this option will be introduced in the 2024.2 release. Below is a screenshot showing how it will appear in the Designer’s preview mode. The sections under the Policies section are clones of that section, and clicking on an entry will display the corresponding section in the main editor area.
