Is it possible to create index files (pdi/xml) with the pdf files without PP Imaging module? If yes how?

Can PP Connect generate pdi/xml index files along with the pdf files without PP Imaging module?

You need the PlanetPress Image module.

So I assume Imaging for Connect. Where and how do you define the index fields?

Please read the online help here on the steps to take to generate the indexes using Imaging for Connect:

Create a datamapper and select ‘Output results in XML data file’ and see if that gets you where you want to be.

From there you can construct your own xml using the “Crete File” plugin with the layout you need. (If the output layout doesn’t work for you.)

You could also just select the data directly from the PDFs and do the same or use metadata tools. (So many ways to pull data and create your own file.)
