In v7 we could print a page when the internal PressTalk variable &eob was true, so a page could be produced at the end, like printing a back cover page. How would the same be achieved in Connect?
Will it have dynamic value on it?
Or only like a slip sheet after the whole job?
like a slip sheet, it should print at the end of the whole job.
Ok but nothing on it…a simple split sheet?
Have you try splitting the job per Job segment, have the whole job fitting into 1 segment and from there adding a split sheet after?
no, how would I do that?
Just did a simple test and it worked…
Output Preset Separation check box
Separation option
- Separation Settings->Separation = None
- SplitSheets->Add slip sheet = After
- SplitSheets->Every = Job segment
OK I will give it a go. thanks!
Looks like that works, thank you.
so what if I needed to insert a blank page in a section that should print duplex and its in the middle of the document, between two other sections that should also print duplex?
When outputting to a printer, you could check the Omit empty back side for Last or Single sheet option. That would force the printer to act as simplex on the last page of the section.
Now for printing to a PDF, do you want the job to print on all pages but add a blank page to compensate for odd pages number in between section?
yes the PDF needs the extra blank page when the page count is odd.
Just tried it and the same option works here, for PDF.
