I use task preset to try to include metadas and retrieve them into the workflow.
Unfortunately the task produce one metadata by document and not group pages into document.
I would like to understand the mapping beetween connect metadata and workflow metadata.
I suppose that with “task preset” you’re referring to the Create Job plugin, is that correct? Otherwise, can you please share a screenshot of your current workflow?
The goal is to retrieve metadata of documents after the output task to export them into an XML file.
Actually as you see I use output task as an output. In the future I would like to use as an action and create an XML file associated to each document produced by output.
Unfortunately the output task in mode pass-through produce one document by page in workflow metadas.
If I understand you’re latest comment correctly then you would like to create also a XML output file based on the metadata result after the Create Output plugin has been executed, is that correct? And I suppose that the Create Output plugin creates one PDF or PS output file?
Can you please let us know what kind data the XML output file should contain?

Based on these screenshots I’m wondering if you’ve added these values–“Date&Time”, “Computer Name” and “”–to the metadata by for example some record fields? Because as far as I know is that this value won’t be added to the metadata result of the Create Output plugin when you make use of for example the “Job Output Folder” input field (Connect Designer > File > Print Presets > Output Creation Settings… > Print Options).
