How do I update the Update Manager?

Whenever I run “Check for Updates”, the Update Manager fails with a U008 time out error. I think I have an out-of-date version of the update manager which never updates itself because it fails!

Is there a standalone installer I can download for the Update Manager?

Try running it with Administrator privileges. Once the Update Manager connects to our servers, the first thing it does is check whether a new version is available.
