Font printing a different letter

Hello to everyone!

We are facing a strange problem with a font we installed (Mansalva font), we are printing the word “back” and in the preview, it looks good, but after generating the PDF the word that is printed is “cack”.

We have 2 Connect servers, we tried with both of them and we obtained the same result.

What I find more strange is that if I print only this record, it will show the correct word. But if I print the whole batch (I use imposition), the record will be wrong (I attached both screenshots).

The version of our software is 2019.1 running in Windows 10 Pro, the font is installed but I also tried attaching the font to the template (same result).

Could you please help me to solve this issue?

did you tried with another font? Is this issue only happening with this specific font?
Could you provide the font and a small sample to reproduce?

I tried with a standard font and it worked okay, so it only happens when I use this font. But it’s strange because in the preview everything looks fine.
I uploaded the template to google drive because I wasn’t able to upload it here. To replicate using version 2019.1, I generate the PDF for records 1-993 and then the pdf ending in 002 on page 8, you can find this error.

It’s strange because if I select records 588-993 it doesn’t happen

Hi, I could download the file and make a test.
If those are not test data, I suggest you to delete the files from the Google Drive.

The test gave a good result with Connect version 2022.1.
I installed the font, then made a test which gives the following result:

Are you able to test with Connect 2022.1 or 2021.2.1?

We’re planning to upgrade the version in the future, since we have a workflow automation working in production and we want to be prepared in case the upgrade breakes something in the automation.

Can I install only the designer version 2022.1 and generate the files connecting it to the old version of connect server? Or both need to be updated

Hi, both Designer and Workflow should be updated.
But you can test an output from the Designer on a test server.
The first time you install it, you have 30 days to test it (with a watermark).
