Hi,
I’m developing a flow and need to move a folder with a number of subfolders containing .pdf, .txt, .mrd & .lpf files.
I’m getting an error on the Folder Options Node
Unable to remove source directory to finalize the move operation: the source directory is not empty .
The Folder Operations node is creating the directory structure in the target location but is failing to move any of the files.
I can run the delete option of the Folder Operations node on the source file successfully but not the move.
Is there a way I can find out what this issue is or is this a known bug?

Have you confirmed if the error message was…right? Is there any files left in the folder? Try going into the folder view options and show any hidden files.
It’s actually not moving any of the files.
It’s creating the target folder and the same sub folder structure that is in the source folder but that is as far as it gets before erroring out.
All the original files are still in the source folder. There are no hidden files.

Can you share your node settings screenshot? Also, can it be that thenfiles are still holded by another application?
I have gpg decrypt, unzip & file read process’ before the move node. so initially thought it may be something that still has a file open. But I’ve broken the process flow and am manually triggering the folder move. I’ve just retested from the Debug trigger on the source folder that was created yesterday and am still getting the error

Could it be that you only have read rights on the source files and folder?
I don’t think so. I just triggered a File operation > move from the same source folder to the same target folder and this works as expected.

Not sure I get it then…what is the difference between your move that works and the move that don’t work?
The move that works is a File Operation node, I’m having the issues with the Folder Operation node.

I suggest you open a technical support ticket through our website .
Hi Jchamel,
I’ll log a ticket.
I was trying to move to a different drive.
I just tried copying to the same drive and that seems to work. Just seems to be when copying to a different drive that it errors out.

If it is a network drive then it most likely is a rights issue.
But I can move a file to the network location, is there a difference in access requirements for folders? I’ve also tried copying between local drives on my dev machine with the same error.
I have a ticket logged not so hopefully support can help. cheers

Until a fix, you can still do in two steps (move a file, and then delete the source folder).
