First datamapper condition always True with the Merge PDF-componentet

When using the Merge PDF-component and a datamapper with conditional steps the first condition in the datamapper always evaluate to True even if it’s not.

Using the same datamapper with Folder Capture-plugin the conditions in the datamapper works as intended.

Is this expected behavior or are there any workarounds?

I tried something by my side and it works as expected, what kind of condition are you testing? How is setting up this data mapper?.. your description is very general.
