It’s hard to tell based on the provided information. Could you provide us with log files and the accompanying template? The logs can be found in the following location:
C:\Users{your-user-account}\Connect\logs\Designer
This can be difficult to reproduce but it seems to happen when you interact with the UI (for example, open a menu) while a template is loading.
As a consequence the content in the class style combo (second combo from the left in the toolbar) and the Edit > Stylesheets dialog might not be fully initialized, but it is automatically refreshed after every change in the template.
