Designer Fonts Not Transferring After PDF Creation

Hi, I am having an issue where I set some text to one font in Designer, but when I print the PDF to my Desktop and open the document in Adobe Acrobat Pro, the font shows it is Times New Roman if I try and edit the PDF and highlight some text. Has anyone ever ran into this issue before?

If the font is not used as an internal resource (in the design template), the font must also be installed on the server (using the “Install for all users” option, as the Connect Server service user must also have access to the font).

It is easier and better to bring the font into the Connect template (via Drag&Drop into the fonts folder of the Connect Designer).

I installed the fonts I am having issues with to my PC that exact way and then dragged and dropped them into the Font folder in Designer. I still see the issue when saving my template as a PDF to my Desktop, opening the PDF with Adobe Acrobat Pro, editing it via Edit->Edit a PDF, and highlighting the text to confirm the font name.

Then I recommend you to contact the local support team to investigate further.

Hi @ewanbw,

You could try converting the font to another font file format e.g. .oft. you could use also .ttf but I don’t seem to have a good experience with this that type as sometimes connect does not recognise the .ttf format. Then you will need to drag and drop it in the font folder in connect designer. There are some free 30 day trials that you can use to do the font conversion.
