Connect Professional 2024.1.2 Upgrade

Hi,

Can Upland/OL advise me of anything I need to be aware of when upgrading from 2021.1.1 to 2024.1.2. Just had our OL Care reinstated and don’t want any surprises. We have a new PC for the fresh install, i7-13700K with 64GB RAM running Windows 11 23H2.

  • I have backed up the old Connect presets “workspace” folder. C:\Users\User\Connect\workspace
  • Also the OLConnect folder via C:\ProgramData\Objectif Lune\PlanetPress Workflow 8\PlanetPress Watch\OLConnect
  • Workflow config: ppwatch.OL-workflow
  • Any other folders that I should backup?

This older PC running 2021.1.1 has never broken, so this is the first time I am thinking of this in years and might miss something.

I there a list of known issues for 2024.1.2?
When I’m ready to transfer my license to the new box, will activations be able to do that on a weekend or do I have to schedule a time during the week?

Please read the Release Notes for 2024.1, which also contain information about backing up your current system.

Ideally, you’d update a test system first, to make sure everything goes as expected and to take notes before updating your production system.

For the license, make sure you can access your account via the Web Activation Manager, so you can obtain a new license at your convenience.
