Connect 2022.2 Versioning error on Publish Commit

I get an error when I try to “Projects | Publish Commits”. I have a support ticket open but thought I’d check with the User Community hive mind to see if this is a known issue and/or an easy fix, somehow.

I have made sure to select the branch name from the Clone dialog, and in GitLab have made sure that the branch is not protected.

Looks like the remote has commits you don’t have.

It was a regular expression issue. Our Git admin created a regex that we must follow in our Commit Titles. Once I followed the rules, things worked.
