Capture folder, creates a folder if its missing, bug or feature?

Hi,

We just discovered that when you set a folder to capture that doesnt exist in workflow, it actually creates the folder and subfolders automatically.

Is this intended or not?

Hi,
This behaviour is expected. Normally it should display a prompt informing the user that it is going to do this:

However if you are using a variable as the directory name, that might be why it doesn’t.

Yes absolutely correct , I use a dynamic variable to capture a folder.

Based on your respond, Its safe to say that given a path as a variable, capture folder will create the folders automatically. And the behaviour wont be changed in the future updates/iteration.

This can be useful when creating empty folders inside your workspace. That will be used later without the need to write a script.
