Bringing in the pdf after the template is made

New here. I am trying to make a 6x9 postcard template where the address block, permit and sort codes are saved within the template and whenever we have a new project with 6x9 pdf’s we can pull up this template and make any tweaks that are needed. I am now having a hard time bringing in the 2 pdf’s (front and back). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to our OL Learn forum.

Based on the shared information I suppose that you’ve already set up a Connect Template and only need to add the two PDF background files to the template, isn’t it? If so, then I suppose that it will be the easiest to:

  1. Add the two PDF files to the Images folder (Connect Designer > Resources pane > Images).
  2. Create a Master Page for the front page and a Master Page for the back page.
  3. Drag-and-drop the PDF “front” (image) file into the Master Page for the front page and drag-and-drop the PDF “back” (image) file into the Master Page for the back page.
  4. Right-click on your Print Context Section and select Properties to open the Print Section Properties window.
  5. Go to the Sheet Configuration tab and check the option “Duplex”. After that you’ve to change the “All Sheets” option “Master Page Front” to the Master Page you’ve just created for the front page and the “Master Page Back” option to the Master Page you’ve just created for the back page.
