Blank Pages on PDFs

I am getting blank pages when we print PDFs from the designer. They show up just fine in the designer mode but when they get generated as PDF, some pages are blank and some show up. Is it cmyk issue? We have created some classes to convert the color to cmyk() when it meets a certain criteria. Does cmyk cause issues in Planet Press? Has anyone come across this issue and have the solved for it.

As a side note, graphs don’t have the option to pick cmyk colors, only RGB. Is this going to be fixed next release?

Hi mhaliti,

As far as I know, Connect can use pdf files that contains CMYK, unless it’s trying to convert the color to RGB and it’s a color it can’t convert, but that the pages are completely blank is still odd. We would need to test the pdf that is causing the issue, to make sure that there isn’t anything wrong with it, and if we can make it work, the problem may be something else in your document.

It might be best handled through a Technical Support call, so feel free to open a Technical Support issue, you’ll be able to work with one of our technicians who will be able to take a look at your pdf, and see if they can make it work.

Hi was this ever resolved? I have a Duplex document. I only have 2 sections but when i print to PDF from designer it adds another page (I added a page number to the master and it shoes page 3 on the blank page) I tried it with a couple of PDFs from different sources and get the same result.

I am printing 4 up onto SRA3…
