Whats the best way to detect why a document creates another page?

Hi,

I’ve created a document that should create a single page, but Design and Preview always show a second page.

Temporarely, I removed the virtual stationary of the media, to see if the PDF might force another page, but I still have two pages.

I can see no text or any other items on the second page; in outline view there ist just a node “Page 2” without content.

So, the question is - from your experiences: is there a best way to check what element is responsible for the page break?

Horrido,

Thomas

Hello Thomas,

The most common cause of a new page appearing, is that the very last object at the bottom of the page is too large, or that an empty object is placed on the second page, for example an empty div, or simply a . Look at the Source view and scroll to the bottom, see if there’s anything there that might cause it. Make sure no code appears after the last line of contents that is valid and should appear.

Hello Thomas,

The extra page could also be the result of the Duplex setting in the Sheet Configuration dialog of that section (choose: Section > Sheet Configuration). In that case the yellow Sheet bubble at the top of the page will state Back on the that second page.
