We’re currently testing the OL Connect Desktop demo. One of our goals is to find out how fast different PC hardware is and what hardware configuration is optimal—in other words, one that offers enough performance but isn’t too expensive.
Unfortunately, the demo is limited to 1,000 ppm (which I find completely baffling), so I can’t really test which hardware is suitable. I’ve heard that the full version is also limited—I think to 6,000 ppm. That’s less than Printshop Mail was capable of on older PCs. Why take such a step backward when the software costs so much?
Using the software can be a bit cumbersome at times due to HTML technology. Scrolling through the pages in the preview isn’t very intuitive and is slower than in Printshop Mail—even on a high-end gaming PC. Why does modern software have to be slower than older software???
