I’m trying to use a 8220S Ricoh PPD to select different trays from multiple Media.
I’ll loaded my PPD and created any output set by mapping the different Media types to the chosen Trays, created my Postscript file and sent to the rip but this isn’t pulling through to the printer.
Any advice would be great. :grinning
Hi there Joe,
Here are some things you may want to check:
Does the printer support PostScript/have a postscript module installed? To test this you could try printing to it in PCL format.
Are you printing to the printer using LPR or do you have the printer installed as a windows printer? If you are using a windows printer, you should try setting the driver to generic/text, otherwise it may interfere with the postscripts integrity.
Lastly, just check that you are using the appropriate postscript PPD. You may also want to try some of the generic postscript or PCL printer options that are included and see if you have any luck there.
Kind Regards,
Joel
