Hi,
I have a background pdf including german umlauts. After creating a PDF out of the connect designer the umlauts aren`t printed. Considering the original pdf in Acrobat all umlauts will be displayed.
The original pdf has Identity-H fonts embedded.
What can I do to solve it?
Regards,
Thomas
the identity-h encoding can be tricky sometimes; if copying text in the original pdfand paste into a text editor, do the umlauts keep visible?
If I copy the text from the original pdf into notepad++ the umlauts keep visible.
Your idea was pretty good. I tried to copy the text from the output pdf into notepad++ and all umlauts are displayed.
To get around I have created a new designer template set my original pdf as virtual stationary and gave it a try. Same problem…
sounds to be an issue with the internal character tables of this PDF.
When Connect is importing the PDF internally and at the end converting back to PDF the meaning of some characters seem to get lost.
Best to open a ticket with local support team and provide the original PDF to have a closer look.
Thank you for your answers. I will open a support ticket.
