Hi all
Is there any way to output generic texte from composition instead of PCL, PS or PDF

Unfortunately, no.

But here is what you can do.

  • Proceed with the mapping of your data in the Datamapper.
  • Send the Datamapper to Workflow.
  • In your Workflow process, set your Execute Datamapping step to Output records in Metadata.
  • Using a Set job Info and Variables plugin, extract the data into variables (or jobInfo). (this addition is needed as the CreateFile plugin is an input and will overwrite the precedent Metadata file…thanks Phil ;))
  • Then, using the Create File plugin, you can create your text file as you want it while adding value from your variables.

You could use the opentTextWriter() function in the DataMapper to write to a text file.
