We have a few hundred designs to be converted to the new OL template, this will take some time.
When sending pp7 templates with Design 7.6 to the new Workflow 8 (on a separate host), this seems to only work when I run the PPMessenger7 service but the new connect designers seem to need PPMessenger8 running to send to Workflow 8.
As we are working on converting to the new OL templates at the same time as doing updates to existing designs, is there a way to be able to use both the new and old designers and send to Workflow 8 without needing to switch between the messenger 7 and 8 services?
The latest version PlanetPress Design, v.7.6.2, should be able to see instances of Connect Workflow running on the same subnet, which means that it should be able to send PlanetPress 7 document templates straight in Connect.
This should work regardless of the version of the PlanetPress Messenger running. Obviously, if you have PlanetPress 7 and Connect running on thr same system, then Messenger 8 should be started, not Messenger 7.
Note that because of compatibility issues, this only works if Workflow is running on a separate host, like you mentioned. If PlanetPress 7 and Connect are installed on the same host (which is a supported situation), then sending a document must be done by saving the PTZ file locally and importing it in Workflow manually.
