"Run Script" block lockup

Not able to view contents of “Run Script” If I double click on it or if I right click and select properties, work flow locks up. To the point I have to go into task manager and kill it. If I right click and go to advance properties that opens up. Anyone else experience this ? I have a couple workflows that do this so it’s not isolated to one.

RunScript

Do you have an Anti-virus that could potentially see this as a threat? If so can you turn it off and try again?

The script involved, are they written in the script editor (so part of the Workflow configuration) or are they called from the disk (saved somewhere and the Script plugin open them)?

Hi There,

I’ve seen this before and it might be that the script editor window or an alert dialog is off screen somewhere and needs you to click on it, this can happen if you’ve a multi monitor setup or you’ve recently changed to a single monitor setup or have changed the layout or number of your monitors.

you can try to correct this by

  1. Press and hold the Shift key and right-click the app’s taskbar icon.
  2. Select Move in the context menu.
  3. Use the left, right, up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to move your window. When you have moved the window to the desired position, press Enter.

or

  1. Press Alt + Tab and select the app’s window thumbnail. The app window will become active, but still not visible.
  2. Press Alt + Space , then press M. This will activate the Move option of the window.
  3. Use the left, right, up and down arrow keys to move your window. When you have moved the window to the desired position, press Enter.

these should hopefully allow you to bring the script window or a dialog box back onto a screen where you can move it and use it appropriately.

Hope this helps

Or to continue in Alex_Banahene approach, you could close your Workflow Configuration tool and reset it to factory default.

Here how you do it:

  1. Close Workflow Configuration tool
  2. Hold down the CTRL key of your keyboard
  3. Double-click on your Workflow Configuration tool icon
  4. Hold down the CTRL key until the Workflow configuration tool is completely opened.

ALT-Tab doesn’t show any other windows open.
Option to temporarily disable AV is not there for us
Tried the reset, issue persists.

Will have to come back to this one. Have to figure out why for some reason the action for the post isn’t present in the HTML page, but does show up in the metadata in COTG. Method=“post” action=
one of those days where if it’s not one thing it’s another.

I suggest you open a technical support ticket through our website. This way a tech can remote in and help directly. Might even involve Workflow re-install.
