Problem with selection of specific PDF-page

Hi,

as shown in https://learn.objectiflune.com/discourse/t/various-tips-tricks-for-connect-designer/269/1, “Selecting a PDF Page Number”, I tried to do this as follows:

  1. create a new empty print template; selecting “A4” as the page size; set all Margins to 0cm.
  2. use drag&drop to add the file “Demo-pdf.pdf” to the images node
  3. drag the newly added item to the layout
  4. there is one page now (“Single Front”) that shows “SEITE 1” in large letters.
  5. click the conent to get the Attributes panel filled
  6. in the Source-field, add “?page=5” to select the last page in the PDF, hit RETURN
  7. now, there are 3 pages: “First Front”, “Middle Front” and “Middle Front”
  8. the last page shows the correct page of the PDF

Why are there 3 pages now in the document?
Why is there no “Last Sheet”?

The PDF should contain A4-Pages only.

The Template as well as the PDF can be found here:

Hello Thomas

We can observe that the image is just a little bit too large to fit the page, and since it’s in the page flow it causes multiple page breaks when we attempt to put it on a next page.

To solve this, we can make the position image as “absolute” by right clicking the image and choosing “Image…”, then set the “Position:” to “Absolute” on the “Positioning” box.

One of the correct ways to deal with this, is place the image in a Master Page. It worked well too.

Best regards
