Problem with fonts in Connect

Hello

I am trying to use new font inside Connect designer to build document template.

The font is ‘Helvetica.ttf’

Font is installed in Windows system, its also visible from designer fonts drop down window.

The font in designer looks good, but when I render PDF and open it, there is no Helvetica font inside, it has been replaced to other font types like ArialMT

I tried also to use css to apply Helvetica or add Helvetica.ttf inside Fonts/ directory but still no effect.

Could you please help me?

TrueType font (TTF) requires a reboot from the workstation/server, in order for our Connect Server/Weaver/Merge engines to be able to use it.

It will however display properly in the design tool.

I already rebooted PC, restarted Connect services.

Helvetica Regular is availble in designer but when I generate PDf, there are different fonts used

I also placed font inside Fonts/ folder

Try to use it globaly inside CSS

font-family: ‘Helvetica’

is there any better way to use installed fonts?

Try this then…right-click on the font file for Helvetica and select Install for all users (terms may vary depending of the OS).

You might need to reboot after that.

Yes, this is what I already did.

Installed this font for system (for all users) a Admin and rebooted PC.

Still in designer HELVETICA font looks good but when generating as PDF, then not :frowning:

Then I suggest you open a technical support ticket through our website. Make sure to upload you TTF file and a technician from support will help you with this.

Is it only with Helvetica or other fonts as well?

The 14 base PostScript fonts, especially Helvetica, are handled differently than other fonts. Adobe Acrobat does the same thing. Perhaps you are seeing an adverse effect of this.

Creating a support ticket is the right move, as we will be able to take a closer look at this.

Well I also download any other fonts and the same problem

For example LATO or others works in designer, but not in PDF.

This is very wierd.

When I choose “Brodway” font which is Windows system font, its working.

When I try to use installed font, its not
