Current PP7 User mostly design and some watch. We have no dedicated server so watch is used as a local server to mostly generate PDFs manually launched when need. Automation does not work inour environment. We have several Design licenses and several printer licenses so we print mostly directly from design but now some of our new stuff is faster and the cost of the printer lic is getting silly aka watch comes into play but only one user due to our IT department can use it. IT will not allow for us to file share, folder share or have a generic login for this purpose nor have I been able to train anyone else how to configure a workflow since all our jobs are one-offs.
If We transition into connect and continue to use mostly the design tool, can we print to the lic and non-lic printers using design only or do I still need to have the high end printers be a single user using connect workflow if I upgrade?
