Postscript to file

Hi

I use data mapper, create content, create job and create output to make pdfs. How should I change this to save postscipt to file? Which plugins I should use? How to achieve this?

I suggest you create a new output preset for PostScript. Then in the workflow do the following:

  • Use the ALL in One for Data Mapping and Content Creation only (this is faster as content is created in parrallell as soon as data records become available). Do not select anything in the Output Creation tab.
  • Then add Create Job
  • Then add a Branch to Create Output for PostScript
  • The Other main branch should have the Create Output for PDF

Hi mariuszwoch,

You would use the same plugins except you would use an output preset configured to output PostScript files. This preset is then used in the Create Output plugin in workflow. Note that if you want tray select you will need to import the printer definition file for that printer in order for the PostScript file to instruct the printer correctly. You can also try the built in generic PostScript models that come with Connect. For a custom printer definition file you would need to contact support for them to create one for you.
