Page count for non standard sections

Hello OL team @hamelj @Marten @Sander @Erik

I have a question regarding page count.

I need to add page count which will looks like this:

Currently the page count is add using output preset.

My question is how to skip page numering on blank page and continue on next page?
As You can see this blank backside is not counted into total pages count.
This is duplex.

I was thinking if there is possibility to create script { … } inside output preset to decreas total pages by minus -1 and do not display page counter on backside inside output preset

Thanks for help
Adam

This requires the following setup:

  • Create a master page (Master page 1) with the following markers:
    • Content Page Number
    • Content Page Count

Setup the Sheet Configuration of your section as shown below. To navigate to the Sheet Configuration dialog: right mouse + click section in Resources > choose Sheet Configuration… (or choose Section > Sheet Configuration on the main menu while viewing the section in the editor):

  • Select duplex
  • Select “Omit empty back side for Last or Single sheet”
  • Uncheck “Same for all positions” and configure the various sheet positions
    • Single Sheet
      • Allow content on: Front only
      • Master page front: Master page 1
      • Master page back: None (or one different from Master page 1)
    • First Sheet
      • Allow content on: Front only
      • Master page front: Master page 1
      • Master page back: None (or one different from Master page 1)
    • Middle Sheet(s)
      • Allow content on: All sides
      • Master page front: Master page 1
      • Master page back: Master page 1
    • Last Sheet(s)
      • Allow content on: All sides
      • Master page front: Master page 1
      • Master page back: Master page 1
      • Important! Select “Omit Master Page Back in case of an empty back page”
