More installation woes, Windows 10

I cannot install Workflow 2018.2 on Windows 10 build 1803. Early in the installation it claims it cannot find files. The first file to fail is “ppwcfg.CHS” and then every file thereafter.

While I’ve never once had a Connect/Workflow installation/upgrade proceed without errors and multiple retries, this is a new one for me, and I cannot find any workaround.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?

Update: to get this working, I had to delete the GUID folder under C:\ProgramData\ created by the installer. There were also several “miaXXXX.tmp” folders where XXXX looks like a hex number, which had to be deleted.

This is the folder that needed to be deleted before the installation would succeed:

C:\ProgramData{1563E5E6-7F77-41E1-A4E8-D92273A40BC4}
