Planet Press v7 allowed free text entries for Type, Weight and Colour when using Media Selection. It looks like Connect only allows selecting from pre-populated lists. Free text was very useful when printing to an Océ/Canon machine with a Prisma controller. Have I overlooked the free text fields or am I stuck with the options on the list? If I’m limited to the options on the list are free text fields on the roadmap?

You can still insert text under those fields either when creating the media or when creating the output preset/printing. Just click in the field and type. The dropdown menu is there with the most common ones.

Connect is a fully HTML5/CSS3 editor, which means the only limitation is what the web can do. Basically if you have seen something happen on any website, it can be done in Connect.
It does require a little more work but the information is pretty much all there on the internet.
