Here are the main points…
PlanetPress Connect introduces a new Data mapper and Designer which is capable of creating output for print, email and the web within a single template from any data type – including formatted print streams
The Designer has an easy to use interface enabling multi-channel output to be created by almost anyone, plus it has the ability to use native html, css and javascript for more advanced users.
For printing, templates are device independent which means printer finishing can be applied in the final stage of output generation using a printer specific output preset – it means one template for any device.
PlanetPress Connect includes a process automation server which is capable of servicing responses form web pages and email to provide interactive business communications
PlanetPress Connect can create documents for tablets and mobile devices that run a free CaptureOnTheGo App. Users with a CaptureOnTheGo subscription can then download documents to their own devices, interact with them and then send the captured data back to PlanetPress Connect for converting into additional documents or workflows.

But my concern is to understand the difference (or similarity) with PlanetPressSuite.
PlanetPress Connect is a series of four tools designed to optimize and automate customer communications management. They work together to improve the creation, distribution, interaction and maintenance of your communications.
Besides additional plugins to support the Connect Designer (Designer, DataMapper) and Output, the workflow is the same. All processes and forms designed with the Suite will still run with the Connect Workflow.
PlanetPress Connect (the Designer Part) was built from scratch to be more in line with the today’s technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and communication needs ;
