Hi,
We place a vertically aligned barcode on the left margin of our letters, to support use of a letter envelope inserter machine.
The barcode is an Interleaved 2 of 5 format, and looks perfect. When using a hand scanner, it is easily and reliably read, 100% of the time.
Recently however, we have noticed that the barcodes are getting misread by the inserter machines’ barcode reader. With a fail rate of about 2-3% which is quite high considering our mail volume.
Is there any advice that may be relevant to the creation and format of barcodes specific to Chromium ?
Thanks,
Ian
