I’m working on 6x9 postcards imposing 4 up on 13x19 stock. We’re looking at adding 2 slitters working together to handle the cutting. We process these in batches of 400 sheets, yielding 1600 postcards. I need to impose these so that records 1 and 2 sit sided by side along the top row and records 801 and 802 sit side by side along the bottom row - as shown below:
I haven’t been able to come up with a sequence that accomplishes that in the output preset imposition area and I’m looking for alternatives to output these postcards as needed for slitting.
The first slitter separates records 1 and 801 from records 2 and 802, putting them on a right angled feeder, which then allows the second slitter to separate and deliver record 1 into a stack, and right beside it, deliver record 801 into a stack. Immediately behind comes record 2 and record 802.
