How to remedy an "I1007: Error while converting to PDF" error?

For a couple of years I have had several templates (setup using PlanetPress 7 design) working in conjunction with PlanetPress Connect Workflow and Image, and I’ve had no issues producing PDF output in this way.

Suddenly, and for no obvious reason, these processes have started to error. For example:

This I1007 error is a constant issue.

I have attempted the following but have only met with failure:

  • Restarted services.
  • Restarted machine.
  • Using Digital Action plug-in in place of Image plug-in.
  • Recreated processes.
  • Scrubbing and republishing PTK files.
  • Used data input from various sources.
  • Reinstalling PlanetPress Connect.
  • Using various PDF quality settings and formats.

We also have a PReS Connect installation at it is now producing the same types of error. However, in some case, where one won’t produce a PDF the other one will. In other cases, neither will produce a PDF or both will work as expected. It’s really quite mystifying.

Any helpful advice would be gratefully received.

Is it possible you recompiled your documents with the “Printer-centric” option instead of the “optimised PostScript” one?
